BMC Benefits Terms

Joining a new benefits program means learning how your benefits work and who to call when you have questions. It also means learning new terms. To help you make the transition to your BMC Benefits, here are a few terms to know.

Alight  – BMC’s Health Benefits Administrator. The Alight platform helps you with online enrollment through mybmcrewards.com, health resources such as important carrier links, and plan document information. It also provides your total rewards statement, the ability to view your paycheck through ADP (payroll system), and much more.

Delta Dental Premier – is a network choice of the Dental Plan. Offers a more extensive network with a general level of fee reductions.

Delta Dental PPO – is a network choice of the Dental Plan. Offers a more select number of providers and offers deeper fee reductions/more significant savings.

Health Pro – an advocacy benefit that helps you and your covered dependents: understand your benefits, verify care coverage, resolve billing errors, transfer medical records, and even schedule health care appointments.

MyRequests – is an internal BMC system for submitting issues and questions to the Benefits Team.

MDLIVE – telehealth services for BCBSTX plan participants. Provides you and your covered dependents round-the-clock access to board-certified doctors and licensed therapists by online video, phone, or secure e-mail.

MythSmashers – is an interactive tool on mybmcbenefits.com that helps you decide between the HSA and PPO medical plan options.

Reimburse Me – app for Your Spending Account. (see Your Spending Account, below)

UPoint Mobile HR – app for Alight, BMC’s benefits administrator.

Your Benefits Resources (YBR) – YBR is your Benefits Call Center. Call YBR Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST at 877-262-4849 for:

• answers to your health care and HSA/FSA questions,

• access the Dependent Verification Services (DVS) if you are needing to verify a dependent, and

• help to enroll over the phone.

Your Spending Account (YSA) – YSA is part of Alight and manages your Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts, Tuition Reimbursement, Fitness Reimbursement, Adoption Assistance, and Commuter benefits. When you log in to mybmcrewards.com, you will have access to view your contributions, view your activity, get reimbursed, check for eligible expenses, and more.
